Stop wasting time with link swapping! In
case you are not aware, inbound links are "good" and outbound
links are "not good." Search engines will begin to deduct
your overall ranking if you have too many outbound links. Reciprocal
links can still help you, but not as effectively as you may
hope. The key is to have many links coming in with very
few links going out. This builds popularity within the
search engines, deeming your website an important, relevant
site.
A text link ad consists of "anchor text" and a description. The
anchor text is the actual keyword or phrase you are promoting
and it is the text that is actually linked to your site. The
description further explains what the user will find by following
the link. If you have enough text link ads, your listing
can appear at the top of the search results when a user searches
that keyword. Here is an example of a text link ad:

text link advertising
The anchor text is "Text Link Advertising," which links
to our homepage at www.linkworth.com. The
description that follows is short and to the point. The
anchor text holds a stronger influence since it is linking
that specific text to your website. The description
is a secondary position that describes what is offered on
the website.
What exactly is link popularity?
Search engines use complex algorithms to determine the order
in which sites are listed when a given keyword or phrase
is searched. Link popularity happens to be one of the
key-components in these algorithms. Simply stated,
link popularity refers to how popular a given site is within
the internet community. Popular, content-rich websites
will naturally attract many inbound links while unpopular,
content-poor sites will not. As a result, websites
with many inbound links are deemed popular because they have
made an obvious impact on the web community. It also
helps the search engines remain impartial to their own rankings
because the web community itself is actually dictating which
sites are popular and which sites are not.
Keep in mind, link popularity does not assume that all inbound
links are equal. For example, an inbound link from
an influential directory may carry more weight than an inbound
link from an obscure personal website.

LinkWorth connects Advertisers to our Partner websites. Each
Partner site will typically have a few location options for
you to choose from. The options are placing your text
link on the homepage only, a sub-page (internal page) only,
or an entire site run (on every page). Partners may
have just one, two, or all 3 options available and display
their prices accordingly. You decide where you want
the link placed.
For example, if you wanted to place your text link ad on www.linkworth.com,
we might have these options available for you:

You would select one of the three options for your link. Once
you selected linkworth.com as a Partner, we would review
your ad and either approve or deny the request. If
we approved your link, we would then have 5 days to publish
the link in the appropriate location. You would not
be charged until our spider found your text link active on
linkworth.com. It's that simple.
The terms for all text link ad transactions are for 1 month,
from the 1st to the 1st of each month. Advertisers
fund their accounts in advance by credit card, PayPal or
company check (invoice). Partners, however, are not
paid until the end of the month. If you purchase links
after the 1st of the month, you only pay the pro-rated amount
for the remainder of the first month and then the full link
price applies on the months thereafter. Transactions
are set-up to recur monthly unless you cancel them, which
Advertisers are able to do at any time.
Our system continually monitors Partner sites to ensure your
link remains on their website. It is also mandatory
that Partners allow spiders to review the links on their
robots.txt file. A LinkWorth representative will also
make random spot checks periodically which prevents any cloaking
of our system.
While text link advertising will drive some user traffic
to your site, we urge Advertisers to understand that this
method of advertising is not aimed at generating huge amounts
of traffic directly from the Partner websites. The
goal is to raise your natural position on every search engine
for the keyword or phrase that your linking campaign supports. This
is done by creating hundreds or thousands of backward links
to your site.
We employ an internal popularity ranking system called LinkRank. It
is NOT Google PageRank™. It is a quantifiable
measure of a website based on its' overall popularity with
inbound links being a key factor. These inbound links
can be counted through most major search engines. Our
LinkRank value is based on the total number of inbound links
from most major search engines. Use our LinkRank calculation
tool to find your LinkRank!
If you evaluate other link brokers, you might find that
the biggest issue is inventory. It is extremely difficult
to build an effective linking campaign if you do not have
enough strong, relevant websites to use. We can guarantee
that there are more Partner sites than you need in our inventory! With
quality websites added to our database daily, LinkWorth has
thousands of Partner sites that can help you get to the top.
